Tor Morisse

Tor Morisse is an illustrator and children's author. His first drawings were published in Kamratposten in 1976. He has illustrated nearly 300 books with writers such as Lennart Hellsing, Ursula Moray-Williams, Olga Wikström, Marianne Söderbäck, Hans Pettersson, Beverly Nichols, Hans Erik Engqvist and Viktor Dragunskij. He has also illustrated classic books for adults, and created his own characters such as "Tom and the Troll" in a series of primary and secondary school math books, Buster the dog and Ludo the lion.

Tor has also worked in art education, including a guest tutorship at Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design. He has won many awards and prizes, including Publicistklubben's Gold Pen in 2002.

Currently, he is working on a series of comic adaptations of classic Norwegian fairytales. See previews of the albums published so far.
